Show TO PRODUCE BOY IN COURT TODAY This morning at 10 o'clock, before Judge G. G. Armstrong, a legal battle will be begun for the custody of a boy, B'Arcy Van Alstyne. The plaintiff plain-tiff in the writ of habeas corpus proceedings pro-ceedings is Katherine Van Alstyne, the stepmother of the lad. In the petition A. B. Irvine, Blanche Lee Tagcrt and Vera Bennion are named as defendants. Mrs. Belle Bennion Ben-nion of 234 South Eighth East street, last night stated that in the making of the petition a mistake had been made aa regards making her daughter, Vera Bennion, a defendant Mrs. Bennion Ben-nion stated that it is she who has the custody of the boy, and that she will produce him in court at the hearing this morning. In the petition of Katherine Van Alstyne she alleges that the lad, D'Arcy Van Alstyne, is the son of Guy Van Alstyne through a former marriage, but that an affection and love had grown between the petitioner and the boy. It is further alleged that the father of the boy has become infatuated with Blanche Lee Tagert and had taken the boy away from the petitioner and that the boy is now being held in restraint of his liberty and his mind is being poisoned against the petitioner. |
