Show MALAD DEFEATS ROY IN TENTH INNING Special to The Tribune. v MALAD, Idaho, July 1?. The ball game at Lubin's park yesterday between the local nine and the Roy club was witnessed wit-nessed by a largo and appreciative bunch of fans. The game was fast and few errors er-rors were made, the score at the end of the tenth inning being 4 to 5 in favor of Malad. The local battery consisted of Steve Gayner and Jones, and the visiting club put Chedister in the box and Lovell to receive. A special feature of the game was the playing of Fink, the new center fielder for Malad. His phenomenal running run-ning catch In the tenth inning, when two were on bases, brought forth much applause. ap-plause. He also scored the winning run for the locals. 1 |
