Show COUNTY CANDIDATES FILE THEIR PAPERS Special to The Tribune. POCATEL,LO, Idaho, July 12. Candidates Candi-dates for county offices who have thus far Hied their nomination papers in the office of County Clerk Pomeroy are as follows: For aherlff H. V. Hartvlgsen, the present pres-ent night chief of police of Pocatello; George Mahey of Bancroft and Dell Llsh of Jnkom, Republicans; William Winchell of Soda Springs and L. H. Merrlam, deputy dep-uty sheriff of Grace, Democrats. Sheriff Cooper, the Democratic incumbent, has announced that be will not be a candidate candi-date for re-election. For county commissioner the only candidate can-didate thus far registered is Charles West of Chesterfield. Republican. It is understood that C. D. Smith, the present Republican county attorney, is to be a candidate for attorney general. II. E. Hay and J. B. Bacon of this city are the Republican aspirants who desire to succeed Mr. Smith, while R, H. Palmer has announced his candidacy for the lower low-er house on that ticket. |
