Show CHAMPIONSHIP SWIM AT LAGOON JULY 22 Entrants From Several States Will Compete in ICO-ysrd Event; Other Contests Scheduled. The T.r.goon Swl mining club will hold the 100 -yard lntermonniain association swimming chanipii.nsuip at Lagoon the afternoon of J i;!y 22, ;u'Ji'ding to announcement an-nouncement made yesterday. In addition to the championship event, a 200-yard swim, breast stroke, ami a high diving competition will bo held. In the champions-hip event any record which may be made will be official, since all the standard requirements will be mot and the event has received the necessary sanction. Many clubs and organizations both in T'tah and outside the state will be represented, repre-sented, and a large and fast field of swimmers is expected to take part. Entries En-tries are expected from tho Silver Bow Athletic club of Silver Bow, Monl. ; the Meaderville Athletic club of Meaderville. Mont., and the Young Men's club of Butte. The PoratMlo Y. M. C. A. Is likely to be the only club from Idaho to be represented, rep-resented, but unattached swimmers from the Snake River valley are expected lo enter. Among these are Harry I.e Mognc, ex-intereoile' ia t e champion a nd record-holder record-holder in the 1 00 -yard swim, formerly a Harvard swimmer. H. K. Glenn will probably he (he strongest strong-est entry of the Do.cret gymnasium, since his teammate, Scott llahiquist, is now in Mexico with the Clan cavalry. On the strength of his showing in the recent Lagoon La-goon meet, he is picked by many to regain re-gain his lost honors.
