Show BRIGHAM CITY AND LOGAN FRATERNIZE Cache Eusiness Men Visit Fruit Center j and Invite Return Trip on the Part of Their Entertainers. Special to The Tribune. BRIGHAM CITY, July 12. Nineteen members of the Boosters" club of Logan came owr to Brigham last night and held a gei-ac.-uaiuted meeting with members of the Boxelder Commercial club. Ar- f rangcmeius had been made previously for j entertaining tiie visitors, and at S p. m. a well-attended meeting was held in the clubrooms presided over by President J. Francis Merrill. The programme was as follows: Cornet Cor-net solo, L. Jorgentn-n; address of welcome. wel-come. President Merrill; solo. Edwin Lee ; address. President E. R. Owens of the Boosters' club; address. Mayor John F. Era man n; solo, Mrs. II. J. lleaton; talk, C. M. Harris, Logan, member of the Yellowstone Yel-lowstone highway commission; talk. J. E. Shepherd; talk. Dr. George Thomas of the A. C. ; talk, Wynn L. Eddy of this city; cornet solo, L. Jorgensen. In the Logan party, which came here In automobiles, were the following: E. R-Owens. R-Owens. president of the Boosters' club; M. R. Hovey. secret aiy ; D. H. Thomas, vice president; Dr. George Thomas, C. W. Hansen, J. H. Wilson. C. M. Harris. A. M. Stewart, J. C. Aden, A, G. Gordon. M. G. Cardon, George W. Llndqulst, George B. Bowen. I. S. Smith, H. E. Crockett, M. Thatcher, J. E. Passwater, Joseph Odell and J. E. Shepherd. At the conclusion of the programme some time was spent in getting acquainted acquaint-ed while the visitors were regaling themselves them-selves on Brigham cherries and berries. Later In The evening the Logan party and prominent men of this city were guests of Mrs. Grant at the Hotel Boo the, where refreshments were served. The Logan boosters extended an invitation to the local commercial club to go to Logan at an early date. The purpose of these gatherings, gath-erings, as set forth by the speakers, is to create a closer commercial relationship relation-ship between the two cities. |
