Show SHOSHONE HIGH WINS OVER GOODING TEAM Special to The Tribune. SHOSHONE, Idaho. Nov. 20 Tho Shoshone high school football team wou tho championship of southern Idaho by defeating the high school team of Good-iug. Good-iug. The game was generally conceded to be the hardest fought contest of tho season, and although the Gooding team was much heavier, the Shoshone bovs were able, by their superior generalship, to pilo up a Fcore oi IS to 0 against their opponents. Their persistent line smashes and their well -ex ecu ted forward for-ward passes wou the game for Shoshone. Sho-shone. K.-pcciuHv good work was done bv Paul A. Wright. Charles Wilson, Ucluo MeMahon and Bud Yadeu of the Sho-, Sho-, shone team, but the most brilliant events of the day were the spectacular punts made by John Adamson, the fullback full-back on the Gooding team. The Shoshone team, under the supervision su-pervision of Professor Everett McGraw as poach, has established a record in Idaho for clean hi'h school football. They have won every game they bne played in this season and have been scored on only oucp during the season. Their total score for the t-at-ou is: Sho-shoue, Sho-shoue, SI; all opponents. 6. |
