PUBLIC OPINION FAVORS ENTENTE King Constantine, How ever, Leans to the Side of the Teutonic Powers; Action of the Athens Government Is Awaited With Anxiety by Both Sides. LONDON, Not. 21, 12:42 a. m. Tho Athens correspondent of tha Exchange Telegraph company sends tiie following: "Tha Athens newspapers pnblish a communication issued by tlx. Brit- ; : lib legation stating that the entente powers have declared an economic aed commercial blockade of Greece. The cabinet afterward sat from 9 ' ' o'clock ln the evening until 3 ln i the morning." ; LONDON, Not. 20, 10:C3 p. m. The present military situation in Serbia, ; which appears to make a Serbian retreat re-treat into Greek territory almost inevi- table, will, the belief is confidentlv ex-pressed ex-pressed here, force Greece within twenty-four hours to abandon the ambiguous attitude which has been a cause of uneasiness un-easiness both to the triple entente and the central powers and declare some definite, intelligible policy. Such a policy, pol-icy, even if it is adverse to the entente allies, will at least be welcomed here as an end to the torturing uncertainty of i the past month. i Some comfort is derived here from the optimistic tone of dispatches from j Athens which, since the arrival of Denyi I Cochin, the French cabinet member, j who went to Greece on a special mission, mis-sion, report that public opinion is running run-ning strongly for the entente allies. Aid Not Expected. But since it is a well-known fact that King Constantino's choice waits upon the outcome of military events which at present would hardly prepossess him ; in favor of the entente allies, there is no real expectation in London that j Greek assistance will be forthcoming. j It is already announced from German .'. sources that the Greek government has informed the foreign diplomats that, in order to maintain neutrality, it will disarm dis-arm and intern all Serbian troops which may retreat into Greek territory. It also is stated in German newspapers that Albanian troops are trying to bar the other road of retrent by concentrating concentrat-ing on the Serbian border. Bulgarian Successes. The Bulgarian successes at Katohanlk pass,- Tetovo and Babuna pass have now been confirmed and the Kussovo plateau, .where the Serbians expected to make a last desperate resistance, is now apparently apparent-ly open to the Invaders. The fall of Monnstlr has not been confirmed and. according ac-cording to latest Information, the Serbians are advancing thence to meet the Bulgarians, Bul-garians, but, endangered as It is from three different quarters Babuna rass, Brod nnd Kruzvo there Is slight possibil- I lty of '-Its holding: out in case the Bulgar- ' lans make a real attempt to take it. The Austro-Gennan armies are now on the borders of Xovipazar and are approaching ap-proaching Prlstina. Thus Old Serbia, as it existed before the last two Balkan wa-.s, is completely overrun by hostile forces.
