Show DOUGLAS PARK LOTS SELLING RAPIDLY Twenty-two Pieces of Property Prop-erty Changed Hands During Dur-ing Week. The Hubbard Investment company and Mooks Ss McCartney last week sold twenty-two lots in Douglas Park subdivision, sub-division, the prices ranging from $150 to $600 per lot. Ono prominent banker of the city bought a block of fourteen lots for the purpose of later building thereon a fino residence. This is to be a magnificent magnifi-cent home of high construction cost and plant for it -will be made known as soon as completed by tho architects. Work, on a splendid bungalow in the addition has been begun bv Dr. R. E. Wight. This is planned o"n the California Cali-fornia stylo and will be an innovation innova-tion in homo construction hore. Henry Kipp of Montana has finished his parage par-age and is now at work on his $7500 residence at the comer of Fourteenth South street and Sunnysido avenue. Clark Kimball's fine bungalow at Fourteenth Eust aud Ninth South streets is now plastered and in two weeks will bo ready for occupancy. Mr. Kimball is moving here from Poca-tollov Poca-tollov Idaho. A. A. Clark is building an eight-room modern residenco on Ninth South street, just east of Michigan Mich-igan avonue, which is enclosed and ready for plastering. Tt is to cost $1000. H. G. Gilkerson has a big forco at work putting in sidewalks, curbing nnd guttering. For the past wcok ho has been working on Vista street and Fair-viow Fair-viow avenue. Shade trees to the number num-ber of 1000 have been sot out in the park, these being of silver maple, ash. bolona poplar, Norway maple and box elder. McKay & Eced havo had their men and teams at work on tho eastern portion of tho addition, bringing tho streets to city grado. All streets west of Military drive havo already been brought to official grndo. The Utah Light & Railway company com-pany has its poles sot along Fifteenth East to Twelfth South streets, and this week will begin laying tics and rails on this extension, which passes through Douglas Park. Mr. Hubbard said yestorday that in this vicinity the is more activity than .anywhere else in town. I |
