Show ANTQNE iCIC'S BDOY FOilHD IB THE RIVER Jordan Adds Another Victim to Its Long List of Drownings. The Jordan river has added another to its long list of fatalities. This time tho nn.fortunnto was Antonc Nucic, a well-to-do Austrian of Midvalo, whose uudo body was fished out of tho stream at Murray, after it had been in the water for four days. The Lody of Nucic was discovered Thursday by three boys who resido near the stream, and was in :i bad stalo of decomposition. decomposi-tion. The bodv of Nucic was then taken to the undertaking parlors at Murray, and Mr. Banks wired a brother of the dead n?au. who resides at Canon City, Colo., and received orders to bury the bodv. This wns done, and interment inter-ment took place at the South Cottonwood Cotton-wood comet erv. Nucic disappeared from Midvale last Monday evening, when ho told a num ber of his companions that ho was going go-ing to the Jordan river to take a swim before turning in for tho night. The next morning they were informed that Nucic had not returned home, and, becoming be-coming alarmed, they inquired about town for him, but no one could tell them anything. Thov then went to the Jordan rivor and found the clothing of Nucic in a neat 7ilo on tho bank. A number of expert swimmers attempted at-tempted to discover the body by diving, but this was of no avail, and the search was finally given up. .lohn Kristing of Midvale then offered a reward of $o0 for tho bodv of Nucic. Nucic was insured in-sured for .$1000. and was considered woll to do. Ho was also a member of one of the Austrian secret societies of that place. |
