Rockefeller Rocke-feller todav increased his donations to eh" General Education board by a gift of $10 OOd.OOO and also released the hourd of the obligation to hold In perpetuity the funds contributed by him. The gift brings Mr. Rockefeller's donations to the General Gen-eral Education board to S52.000.000. It was contributed, according to Chairman F. T. Gales of the hoard because the Income In-come available for appropriation has been exhausted and a larger Income to meet Important educational needs had become uufossnrv. Thus far but one institution has failed to raise the supplemental fund required by the terms of tho hoard's pledge. |
