Dorchester House this ovoninR on tho occasion of the dinner and dance givou -"S American Embassador and Mrs. VhiteIaw Keid in honor of the king and queen and Princess Victoria. This was the second time thnt the king has dined with JCmbassador Rcid, but this evening, even-ing, for tho first timo, Queen Alexandra Alexan-dra and Princess Victoria uccompanied his majesty. Tho dance which followed the dinner was a brilliant affair. Their majesties, who were attended by Lord Hamilton , -'nlf-cll, lord in waiting to tho king; Colonel Strentfield and Lady llardingo, wife ol Sir Charles Kardiuge, wore received re-ceived at tho foot of the grand stairway stair-way by the Embassador and Mrs. Keid and the members of tho American embassy em-bassy and their wives. They were escorted es-corted to the library, where 'the guests wore formally presented. Thcso included includ-ed Count Bcnkendorfl'.
