Show SCHWAB IN RUSSIA, Will Confer With Admiralty About Naval Work. . . ST. PETERSBURG, April 22. Charles M. Schwab of the Bethlehem Steel works and Charles 'R. Flint of New York, have arrived here. It was announced- from St. Petersburg, Peters-burg, April 20, that Mr. Schwab, accompanied accom-panied by air. Flint,-would arrive in that city today, to confer, with the Admiralty and the Minister of Finance regarding the Russian naval programme, pro-gramme, which It is understood is .now practically completed, although It has not yet received final imperial approval. It Is believed that some preliminary negotiations relative to the building of a ship In the United States and involv- ' Ing also tho possible construction of big ship yards In Russia have already occurred oc-curred nnd that Mr. Schwab has gone to St. Petersburg upon the request of the Russian authorities to discuss the subject In detail. |
