Show GREAT YEAR FOR HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS The High School Athletic association held its annual meeting yesterday afternoon after-noon at tho close of tho most successful season ever known in the history of the school. Coach Callahan has succeeded In bringing out three winning teams Last fall his football boys defealod the Og-deultes Og-deultes on tho gridiron nnd last Saturday Satur-day ho again vanquished them on tho track. Tho work accompllehed by the school baseball team speaks for Itself. Tho boys have passed through tho entire season sea-son without a single defeat and during this time they have locked horns with the best amateur teams In the city. The new officers of the athletic association associa-tion are: John Kephart, president; Frank Critchlow. second vice-president; Curtis Clawson, secretary; Hume Cllve. treasurer; treasur-er; Arthur Parsons, press agent The board of directors Is Hans Hansen. James Roberts and L. M. Gillespie. Next fall tho Incoming freshmen class and the East Sldera will have the privilege of electing lepresentatlves to this board. Tho stu-ucnta stu-ucnta at the Bryant High school will also havo the privilege of electing a llrat vice-president. vice-president. Tho members of the track team also held a meeting and elected Fred Richmond Rich-mond captain and Fred Hale manager. The treasurer of the athletic association associa-tion reports that there Is now more money on hand and more tlrst-class paraphernalia parapher-nalia than ever before ln the history of the association. The prospects for next year are especially encouraging and ,tho students declare that they will reduplicate redupli-cate there this years record If It Is within with-in the bounds of possibility |
