Show Dead Horse Point Slates Programs amphitheater. Topics differ nightly from the Indians who once inhabited the area, to the roads and trails which are available to today's park visitors. visi-tors. VISITORS ARE welcome to bring a picnic lunch, view the exhibit room, join in the guided wal, eat their lunch as the sun sets, and attend the interpretive interpre-tive program. Beginning immediately on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, visitors to Dead Horse Point State Park will be treated to a package pack-age of interpretive activities. These activities are not only for the campers at the park, but are also set up in a manner which allows the Moab residents resi-dents and Moab motel visitors an opportunity to participate in these activities. THE VISITOR center and exhibit room are open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ranger guided walks are conducted Thursday through Sunday beginning at the Point itself at 5:30 p.m. This is a short 200 yard leisurely leisure-ly walk where a number of different dif-ferent natural and cultural history his-tory topics are discussed. The walk lasts 45 minutes. At 8:30 on these same evenings, even-ings, an interpretive campfire program will be conducted in the visitor center's outdoor |
