TAMARA is an instant hit among children and adults alike, but in the hospitals among the children, only her performance brings instant attention. Tamara, who lived in Denmark for one year with her parents before continuing her studies at BYU, has been with the Young Ambassadors since 1980. Fifteen hundred young people tried out to become a part of the group. EVERYWHERE the Young Ambassadors have gone they have made friends and warmed the hearts of their audiences. They have proven themselves ambassadors of goodwill wherever they have traveled. In glistening and exciting costumes, dancing, singing and with specialty performances perform-ances the BYU's renowned Young Ambassadors are "walking into peoples hearts with big wooden shoes on" (a Danish phrase to indicate warm exciting acceptance) all over Scandinavia from Iceland to Denmark, to Sweden and Norway and in conclusion to Finland where they will be filmed and presented on televi-' televi-' sion to audiences everywhere. THE SIX week tour is bringing bring-ing some of BYU's best performers perfor-mers to Scandinavia for a most heartwarming and talented presentation of specialty acts, songs, and dancing. This talented group of young people are serving not only in bringing beautiful articulate music and dance to foreign lands but are serving to weld a better and friendlier understanding under-standing between countries, people and societies. THEY PLAYED and performed per-formed to frequent standing ovations from crowds who's applause reflected the spirit of the Young Ambassadors. The president of Iceland received the Young Ambassadors at her presidential home and lauded them after their performance as true ambassadors of peace, understanding and love between be-tween nations and people. Among the performers was Tamara Jensen, daughter of Pres. and Mrs. Richard C. Jensen Jen-sen of Bountiful, who are serv-ing serv-ing in the Denmark Copenhagen Mission for the LDS Church. TAMARA'S SPECIAL performance per-formance of ventriloquism, which she so superbly accomplishes accom-plishes with her three "boys" Danny. Jerry and Hank, sing and talk their way through several sev-eral numbers, including Scandinavian Scan-dinavian folk songs, which Tamara sings in the Scandinavian Scandina-vian lauguage, especially Danish.
