In this demonstration at a countywide law enforcement seminar last week, XOIC (that's his code name) sniffs out a cache of dynamite that had been Tff OMICCED placed on the rear axle of a pickup truck in the Davis UUvJ OlMlrrtn County Sheriff Department parking lot. This dog is trained and handled by Dennis Lloyd of the Salt Lake International Airport Authority. The dogs are trained at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, and the two dogs at the airport are used not only for sniffing drugs or explosives ex-plosives aboard planes but are available to law enforcement enfor-cement agencies in the Intermountain area, explained Edward Weibel, who handles the other dog. |
