Show Bountiful Adopts Weed Ordinance; It Will Obey Too BOUNTIFUL What's good "for the goose is good for the gander. Or in this case, if Bountiful expects city residents to keep their properties clean, then the city should be expected to maintain and cleanup city-owned properties. THIS WAS concluded during the adoption adop-tion of a new city weed ordinance which, in part, specifies that property owners are responsible re-sponsible for the maintenance and upkeep of parkways and rights-of-ways. Halley Thomas, a regular aitendcr at city council meetings, says he agrees if the city will care for property that it owns. He cited a piece of city-owned property on the southeast corner of 1800 South and Orchard Drive that needs attention. HE WAS promised that this property and other unsightly city-owned property will be cleaned as soon as possible. |
