All of the other ' j ls of the state fell J somewhere behind. Bountiful High School speech students also won the region forensics tournament, beating Viewmont, the nearest contender, 177 to 127. John Hiller was voted the second place legislator in the state by his fellow contestants. Mark Bet-tilyon Bet-tilyon also was a finalist in legislative forum. BOUNTIFUL orators contributed to the overall winning score. They were: Kyle McKay (the first place orator in region), Barrie McKay and Wayne Gelder. Impromptu speakers included Debbie McCall and Gary Goodrich (who were unbeaten un-beaten at region), and Roberta Rober-ta Davis. ALL Bountiful students received at least excellent in state competition. Bountiful speech teachers are Kim R. Burningham and Bryan Bowles. |
