J After her stint in Washington, I Mrs. Lundquist was involved j in hotel operations at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Ohio. SHE MOVES to her new post after being a peisonnel ; interviewer at the Santa Clara ! park. Among her new duties f wih be appearing on ; television and radio shows, speaking at gatherings all 5 over the western United States and coordinating the J park's Speaker's Bureau. ? She wasn't chosen as Good- will Ambassador merely I because of her good looks. Pam Lundquist, formerly of Bountiful, will be a goodwill ambassador am-bassador for Marriott's Great American. She aitended the University of Utah on an academic scholarship and received a bachelor's degree in political science in 1973. It was destined that she develop a career with close public contact since she comes from a politically active family. "I've been interested in politics poli-tics since I was 12 years old." she said. In hih school, she was elected Utah governor at a Girl's State convention, an event which duplicates the American political process as a learning experience for students. Pam Lundquist doesn't view her present position as Goodwill Ambassador and her previous experience as a governmental aide as dissimilar. dis-similar. "They're both active. fast-moving fields- and they both demand being at ease with people." Working for Marriott's Great America is certainly fast-moving. Before the park's opening, she will have traveled through dozens of towns and across thousands of miles. MRS. LUNDQUIST is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Nelson of Bountiful. She is married to Robert Lundquist, another Utah native. na-tive. The Lundquisis presently live in Mountain View, Calif. |
