This joy all share in, when touched at the flight of the fatherless and motherless mother-less little ones, vj htflp by our encouragement en-couragement evory good work instituted insti-tuted for thenu The worthy object of this society should a-pxjal to the heart of every practical Christian. The pecuniary and moral support given this charitable work will be for us a source of not only earthly happiness but above all a j'l'.iage or predestination according to the infallible words of him who promised prom-ised eternal reward to those who gave a cup of water in his name. Many new members joined in response to Rt. Rev. Bishop's invitation, and attended at-tended the meeting on Monday and many more are exjected to join next week. May each worker for the cause determine to do even more for the orphans th coming year. Very few are so situated not to be able to spare a couple of hours each week for so worthy a cause. Remember the words of our divine Lord who was once a child and homeless, "Whatsoever you do for the least of these little ones, you do it unto me." The orphans are a legacy from Christ; they are his poor, and we may prove our love for him by what we do for them, f - |
