Show LAKE CITY. (Correspondence Intermountain Catholic.) Lake City, Jan. 16. A very quiet wedding occurred at the home of Mrs. Rauses. the contracting parties being Mr. John O'Brien and Miss Maggie Fenno. Rev. Father Healy tied the nuptial knot. Both are well and favorably fa-vorably known here and best wishes are extended for their future happiness. happi-ness. They are living at Lakeshore. $- Mr. and Mrs. P. 1 Holland are rejoicing rejoic-ing over the arrival of a son. Tim O'Brien of Henson went to Leadville to spend the holidays. ' A. Carroll has gone to Capital City to accept a position at the Czar mine. Mr. Brennan came down from the Tellie mine to expend the holidays with his family. j- Mr. Joe Sullivan, formerly a resident of Henson, but now of Telluride, spent the holidays here. Mr. P. C. McCarthy, formerly a resident resi-dent of Treasureville, but now of Denver, Den-ver, spent a few days here. Pat Nesdale and sister sold out their restaurant to John, McGorgle. Pat left for Ouray and his skater went to Treas-ureville. Treas-ureville. - Mrs. Jerry Brunton. wife of the local Conductor Bruriton, has gone to Denver Den-ver to visit awhile with her daughter, Sli-stt Myra RonaJd.! James Farrell. who has been attending attend-ing school at St.' Mary's, Kansas, is visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Farrel of this place. , Midnight Mass was celebrated in a very solemn manner on Dec. 31. A large number attended, .and a great many approached Holy Communion. --$ The Misses Harrington entertained a few friends at Russian tea. All present pres-ent enjoyed themselves very much, cards being the principal feature of the evening. The Misses Alice and Kate Harrington Harring-ton have returned, after having spent the holidays with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Philip Harrington of Boulder, Colo. First Mass was celebrated at Lake City at 6 a. m. on Christmas day, and those having solos to sing did justice to them, but especial credit is due the two little girls (each of whom sang a solo) Mary and Agnes Conly. |
