Show ROOSEVELE ELEMENTARY Mrs. Jonhson's fourth grade put on a program Friday, Oct. 28. The name of it was "Ghosts!" It lasted for less than an hour. The characters charac-ters did their parts very well. They remembered, when they were to speak. The people laughed and said, "Ooh!" There were six. ghosts. There were twenty pupil's in the class. I was the teacher. Maxine Jenson. Richard Edwards wrote this funny story during our story hour today "Cuckoo, The Zoo Keeper" Cuckoo Smith was the zoo keeper of Sandy Gulch. Cuckoo was always doing something crazy. That is why everyone called him I him "Cuckoo." Last Saturday Cuckoo was feeding feed-ing the bears, and he got so close to them that they took his old dumb hat away from him. Monday he was feeding the panther, and the panther tore his old holey coat sleeve off. Once Cuckoo took off one of his shoes in the skunk pen. It stunk so bad that the baby skunks got sick. One day at lunch time Cuckoo brought his lunch basket to the lion's pen, pulled up a chair and sat down, with the lion breathing down his neck. It was a funny sight. What was most funny was that Cuckoo had a sandwich with about two pounds of hamburger in it. It was about four inches thick and had hamburger hanging out at the sides. I truly think that Cuckoo Smith was the funniest fun-niest and best star to attract people at the zoo. by Richard Edwards - Room 12. Paul Larson in Room I wrote this Halloween poem "Halloween" In the dark night The ghosts are white. The witches ride: The goblins hide. The children have luck; They hide in a truck. When somedne goes by, They give a big sigh. Reporter, "Lois Fenn. |
