Show LAP01HT Mrs. Mabel Jenkins 83rd Birthday Is Observed The Sunshine Club held its birthday party at the home of Mrs. Ethel Taylor in honor of Mrs. Barbara Nyberg's 83rd birthday. birth-day. Prayer was by Hattie Foster. Mrs. Mary Jarrell read three very beautiful poems. The afternoon was spent playing- bingo High prize went to Hattie Foster, and low prize went to Barbara Nyberg. A plate luncheon was served to Jessie Newmeyer, Mrs. Pearl Woolley, Mrs. Mable Jenkins, Mrs. Vera Caldwell, Mrs. Eliza Neilson, Mrs. Mary Jarrell, Mres. Pearl Perry, Mrs. Hattie Foster, Mrs. Barbara Nyberg. Mrs. Nyberg received re-ceived a lovely birthday gift from the members. Visitors at the home of Mike Kastrinakis during the week were Mrs. Afton Forakis' sons, Ira and Petro, of Salt Lake City and George of Cedar City. They enjoyed en-joyed a deer hunt. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Morton Mar-son Mar-son of Salt Lake City, Marion Mortensen, Vera Gardner, Roosevelt, Roose-velt, Mrs. Fern Gardner and children chil-dren of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Themis Costuros" of Roosevelt. Carma Hacking is caring for the post office while Mrs. Thelma Winn and Mrs. Mae Sprouse are out of town. Mr. and Mrs. Alfonzo Marks and son of Los Angeles were visitors of Mrs. Barbara Nyberg recently. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Broadhead and children of Salt Lake City enjoyed a deer hunt with Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Horrocsk. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lowe and children of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Thumer Rasmussen went deer hunting. Mrs. Sybil McKeanchie of Salt Lake City spent last weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Perry. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Perry last weekend for deer hunting were Lyle and Marvin Perry and son, Laird, of Dragerton, Edward and Clyde Walquist of Vernal', Mr. Harold Heal and sons, Ward and Dwain, of Provo. ' Mrs. Jennie Dixon of Craig and Lee Dixon and daughter of Vernal Ver-nal were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins and Mr and Mrs. Fred Newmeyer Thursday evening. Charlie Taylor, Sr. is in Salt Lake City on business this week. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Horrocks went to Salt Lake City and will stay a week with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Broadbent and family. Roy Warburton of Portland, Oregon, was an overnight guest of his mother, Mrs. Annie War-burton, War-burton, Thursday night. |
