Show GO TO NEW YORK Mr. and Mrs. E. Floyd Ross and children spent Sunday afternoon visiting at the home of thei r mother, Mrs. Merle Ross, prior to their departure to Rochester, New -York, where Floyd will enter the Stromberg-Carlson training school'. Their children, Brent and Karen, will stay with their grandmothers, Mrs. Merle Ross and Mrs. Minnie Diehl, of Roosevelt. Their youngest young-est son, Brad, will accompany his parents. Milton Poulson, of Duchesne, and Pauline Larsen were visiting in Salt Lake during the week. Marilyn Zirker, of Mae. Wash., and currently a student at the BYU, and Mrs. Hazel Peterson, of Myton, visited friends around the ward, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Mower, of Provo, left their children with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Milt Larsen, while they went hunting. hunt-ing. President and Mrs Hale Holgate and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Ross attended at-tended the dinner given in Duchesne, Du-chesne, Saturday, in honor of Elder El-der LeGrande Richards. The stake presidency and their wives and the members of the High Council and their wives were those bidden to attend the dinner. Mrs. Minnie Pace has recovered sufficiently from her recent operation opera-tion to return home. She visited with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Johnson and has gone to Montwel to convalesce at the home of her son Dan Pace. Under the direction of the Mia Maid leader, Mrs. Ida Horrocks, a most interesting Fireside Chat was held at the church house Sunday evening. The theme, "My Heritage of Freedom," was carried out very successfully. Homemade candy and popcorn balls were a real treat to the crowd that attended. Clarence Horrocks and Mr. and Mrs. Irvin JoJhnson went out on a successful deer hunt. In fact nearly all the hunters finally came home with their game. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jensen, of American Fork, were weekend visitors vis-itors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Tanner. |
