Show New Ward Clerk Speakers at meeting on Sunday were Blayne Morrill, Clifford Drol-linger Drol-linger and Ezra Nixon, of the stake presidency. Blayne was sustained as our new ward clerk. Bill Hoops was released because of poor health. Merlin and Leon Simmons, of Provo, were here visiting the Don Simmons. They hunted deer on Deep Creek while here. Norwood Hardy attended a principals' prin-cipals' meeting in Vernal Monday. The. Forendo Ellingford family, of Salt Lake, visited this week at the Gilbert Ellingford home. The men are deer hunting on Farm Creek Mountain. William R. Fry, of Denver, Colo., visited this week at the Floyd Wheeler home. Mr. Fry's parents were teachers at the Indian school here a few years back. Mrs. Barbara Nyberg, Mrs. Von-da Von-da Bigelow and Joyce Long of La-point La-point visited at the Stanley Hoops' home on Saturday. Mrs. Elizabeth Morrill, of Tri-dell, Tri-dell, visited her daughter, Mrs. Lynn Hardy, and family on Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Mr. and Mrs. Claud L. Marvel, of Wapato, Wash., visited at the Floyd Wheeler home this week. The Marvels lived in Whiterocks during the years of 1927 to 1930, where Mr Marvel held the job Mr. Wheeler holds now. Mrs. Edith Oberhansly took her husband back to Salt Lake Wednesday Wed-nesday for medical care. He underwent under-went an operation Tuesday, Nov. 1 at the St. Mark's Hospital. Max Abbott, school superintendent, superinten-dent, visited our school on Thursday. Thurs-day. Mrs. Delia Francis and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Robb, of Salt Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Atkins, of Roosevelt, visited the Virgil and Paul' Robb families and Mrs. Nora Christensen this week. Marinus Christensen returned to his work at Rangely Saturday, after af-ter a week's visit with his wife and son. Mr. and Mrs Theron Robb of Salt Lake, visited at the Paul Robb home over the weekend. Mrs. Lela Anderton and children and Mrs. Velda Anderton visited at the Francis Crozier home in Neola, Friday. Mrs. Verna Hoops and Mrs. Myrtle Hoops went to Salt Lake Friday to visit Bill Hoops, who is ill at the Veterans' Hospital. They will visit the Petro Forakis family while there. Mrs. Erma Sessions, of Vernal, was a dinner guest at the Leland Moosman home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Smith visited vis-ited at the Roy Taylor home in Bridgeland Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Matilda Moosman returned on Friday from a two weeks' visit to Manila and left for Price Saturday Satur-day for a visit with her son, Boyd Moosman and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Workman, and family. Mrs. Roberta Crozier and children, chil-dren, of Neola, visited at church and at the Don Simmons home on I Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Waldo and son recently returned from Japan. They visited Friday and Saturday with the Floyd Wheelers. Mrs. Waldo will be remembered as Helen Hel-en Talbot. Mrs. Leslie Beardall and son, of Fort Duchesne, visited the Floyd Wheelers on Wednesday. The ward Primary officers attended at-tended Preparation meeting in Roosevelt on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hoops visited vis-ited the Gene Nybergs in Lapoint on Sunday. The Cloyd Seeleys, of Pleasant Grove are the proud parents of a baby girl. The Seeleys were former for-mer residents here. Mrs. Clarence Murray received a phone call from her son, Jay, and family from New York, where ' Jay is attending school. |
