Show TeIIDELL Lorna McKee Stanley Morrill To Fill Mission A missionary farewell party was held Friday night in honor of Stanley Morrill, who will enter the Mission Home Tuesday. The program cinsisted of the following: talk, by Union Seminary teacher, I Wendell Johnson; song, male i quartet; talk, by member of the bishopric, Clyde Merkley; song and instrumental duet, Charles Glines and Farrell Simmons; talk, Stanley Morrill. Stanley will labor in the North Central States Mission. Mr. and Mrs. James Harvey took their daughter, Shelia to Salt Lake Thursday, where she had her leg operated on. Visiting recently at the William Harvey home were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Boyes and children, of Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Goodrich and children made a trip to Salt Lake, Friday. FIRESIDE SUNDAY Fireside Chat was held Sunday night after ward conference, at the home of Polly McConkie. Franklin Spencer, from Neola, was guest speaker. He has just recently recent-ly returned from the West Central States mission. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bartlett and daughter returned Saturday to Parks, Calif., where Mr. Bartlett is in the Army. They have been visiting here for a week. FUN HALLOWE'EN PARTY HELD BY M.I.A. The MIA enjoyed a fun Hallowe'en Hallow-e'en party Tuesday night. Hats were made, games played, going through a spook alley, and dancing were all part of the fun. Stake officers of-ficers present were Supt. Glade Sowards and Mrs. Sowards from Vernal. Several of the Primary classes enjoyed Hallowe'en parties Wednesday Wed-nesday in Primary. All of the Primary Pri-mary stake board from Vernal were visitors Wednesday. Lorna Oberhansly was a guest at the home of Toni Goodrich Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en night. Visiting over the weekend at the W. K. Harvey home was the Bill Workman family from Rangely. Mr. and Mrs. O. F. Ellingford and Oscar Allen from Salt Lake were visitors at the James Harvey home, Tuesday. |
