Show 277 Children In County Schools Get Booster Shots In Duchesne County 277 children chil-dren received "booster" shots for polio during the immunization clinics held in five schools of the Duchesne County School District last week, reports Miss Fay Pope, county health nurse. Children who received the "booster" shots were those who received vaccine injections last April, who had parental consent for the second injection. They were second and third grade pupils. Clinics were conducted at Duchesne, Du-chesne, Tabiona, Myton, Altamont and Roosevelt Miss Pope said. Miss Pope said that physicians in this area have the Salk vaccine which is available for children who were not vaccinated at the school clinics. This vaccine supply in most cases is to be confined for children from ages one through nine, Miss Pope explained. Fortunately, not a single reaction re-action has been reported in the Duchesne County School -district as a result of the April and October Octo-ber polio immunizations, Miss Pope concluded. , 1 |
