Show Cherokee Indian To Become tiead Of Agency Announcement was made this week by the Bureau of Indian Affairs Af-fairs at Washington of the appointment appoint-ment of John O. Crow, Cherokee Indian and native of Missouri, as superintendent of the Uintah-Ouray Indian reservation, at Fort Duchesne. Du-chesne. An employee of the Indian Bureau for 21 years, Mr. Crow is now superintendent of the Ft. Apache Agency at Whiterocks, Arizona. He is a graduate of the Haskell Institute and has been active in the promotion of Indian In-dian affairs. Harry W. Gilmore, superintendent superinten-dent of the Uintah-Ouray Agency for the past three years, will be transferred to the Papago Agency at Sells, Arizona. The change will be made about Nov. 20. |
