Show Oil News The Scouting Division of Carter Oil Co. has released the following summary of oil well drilling activity acti-vity for the week ending Oct. 25 1955: Richtman-Federal' No. 1 (Located C NE SW SE, Sec. 5, 7 S., 23 E.) Plug back total depth 2917 feet. Going in hole with tubing to squeeze perforations at 2845-2849 feet. Minton-State No. 1 (Located C NE SE, Sec. 32, 14 S., 20 E.) Drilling at 10,947 feet. White medium-grained, hard, tight sandstone. Nequoia Arch Unit No. 1 (Located (Lo-cated SE NW NW, Sec. 5, 27 S., 14 E.) Rotary tools rigged up. Waiting on water. Navajo-Gothic Nose No. 1 (Located (Lo-cated 835 feet SL x 2015 feet WL, Sec. 33, 41 S., 22 E.) Drilling at 4970 feet. Grey and brown shale and some limestone. Navajo-White Mesa Unit No. 2 (Located 700 feet SL x 300 feet EL, Sec. 22, 42 S., 24 E.) Spud Oct. 22, 1955. Preparing to run 7 inch casing. |
