EMMONS j Mrs. Eva Bentley : :; ' VARIETY CLUB MEETS Thursday, Oct. 27, the Variety Club participated in a Hallowe'en Masquerade party, held at the home of Kenneth and Louise Bear-den. Bear-den. Dorothy Farnsworth, Diane Hullinger, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Swallow, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Young, Mrs. Florence Mohlman, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth LaRose, Mr. and Mrs. Jewel Kolb and their friends Mr. and Mrs. John Pratt, enjoyed a planned pot-luck luncheon lunch-eon and listened to records. Mrs. Alma Young won a prize for guessing guess-ing the most masqueraders, and Mrs. Lois LaRose won the booby prize for guessing the least number. num-ber. Louis Reese and son, Walker, of Salt Lake, spent the weekend with the Jewel Kolb family. They were successful in the hunt and took a deer back to Salt Lake. Mrs. Beth Amott and Mrs. Wal-- Wal-- ter Harmon, of Provo, spent the day with the Rondo Harmons on Monday, and were dinner guests. Grant Peel, Ronda Harmon and Kenneth Bearden attended a Monday Mon-day meeting in Roosevelt for administrators, ad-ministrators, coaches and band leaders of the Basin ' The third grade class, under the direction of their teacher, Zola Stevensen, gave a fine Hallowe'en program for their parents and visitors. vis-itors. Each class returned to their room after the program for games and refreshments. Farrell Humphreys, district guid- ance director, spent Monday at Altamont Elementary School, giving giv-ing achievement tests. Coming from Huntington, Utah to visit Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Carl W. Anderson, were Mrs. Anderson's An-derson's nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Collard and family. They also al-so visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lyn-den Lyn-den Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Sorenson and family from Talmage spent some time visiting with the Carl Andersons after conference. Earl Case has spent the past week gathering school ' census information in-formation for the state. Mr. and Mrs. John Case had breakfast Monday morning with ' Mr. and Mrs. Earl Case. They were ' on their way deer hunting. j Mrs. Ray Hamberg left Sunday i to spend a week in Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Hamberg. Mr. and Mrs. Ned Mitchell spent Thursday in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Grover Mitchell, Mr.- and Mrs. Bob Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. Hardy Perkins, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Mitchell and Freeman Adams camped out and hunted over the weekend near Strawberry. Earl Case, Moon Lake stake pat-riach, pat-riach, was admitted to the Roosevelt Roose-velt LDS Hospital the first of this week for observation. He was unable un-able to attend conference sessions, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hansen left ; Thursday for Salt Lake, Logan and ; Boise, Idaho, mixing business with a -vacation. |
