Show ARE HOLDING FLOWER SHOW SOCIAL HOUR CLUB FLORAL EXHIBIT TO BE THURSDAY S" The Bert Ryssman home, with its fiSt new lawn and gay flowers, was the setting for a largely attended session of the Social Hour Club on last Thursday afternoon. The guests responded to roll call by presenting some object of art chosen from everyday life. The Flower Flow-er Show was set for Thursday afternoon, after-noon, August 16, at the Club House, and guests limited to two for each member. Special guests of the club for that day are Lee Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Lew Mar Price. The hostesses are arranging a musical mu-sical program for the afternoon. The class of exhibits number five, namely, Potted Plants, one or any number; Single Flowers; Wild Flowers; Flow-ers; Boquets of one kind of flower; Boquets of all kinds of flowers, well arranged. First and second prizes are to be awared in each group. Miss Gladys Gospill gave a most practical and helpful talk on perennials peren-nials suited to our climatic conditions. condi-tions. Mrs. Fred O'Leary, Jr., was joint hostess with Mrs. Ryssman and they served appetizing refreshments. Mrs. Sautter, Miss Lucille Franke, and Mrs. Bert Lewis were guests of the club for the afternoon. |
