D. & R. G. ASKS TO USE MOFFAT TUNNEL Joint track arrangements between the Denver & Rio Grande Western and the Moffat railroads, whereby transcontinental traffic will be routed rout-ed through the new Moffat tunnel and over the Dotsero cutoff in western west-ern Colorado, are being negotiated. The Dotsero cutoff has not yet been buii't. So much progress was reported as growing out of the conferences between be-tween railroad officials begun yes terday, that it was predicted that -i tentative understanding on major points would be reached some time today and a final agreement, would be entered into soon. The Dotsero cutoff will be built either by the Moff;.V road or the Denver Den-ver & Rio Grande Western, it was said. Negotiations have been resumed resum-ed with T. M. Schumaker, chairman of the board of the Rio Grande; President Presi-dent J. S. Pyeatt of the Rio Grande and Gerald Hughes, chairman of the board of 'the Moffat road, present at the conference.
