Show Submarine Possibilities As far as we have been able to ascertain, as-certain, the greatest depth attained by a submarine is 2S5 feet, although submarines have been known to reach a depth of 300 feet unintentionally. We are Informed by the Navy department depart-ment that the length of time which a submarine can remain submerged depends upon the equipment which it carries for the purification of the air. Normally, submarines are so equipped that they may remain submerged for 50 hours and operate efficiently. Washington Star. |
