Show SOCIETY Birthday Party Mrs. Dave Reese entertained Friday, Fri-day, August 3rd, in honor of her son, ; Bruces' 5th birthday. The afternoon was spent in games and delicious refreshments re-freshments were served to eighteen children. Mrs. Berry Entertains for Daughter s- Mrs. Vivien Berry entertained at the home of Mrs. A. E. Webb in honor of her daughter, Betty Jeanes' 5th birthday. Games were played and ' refreshments were served to the guests. . O. D. 0. Club at Reed Mrs. Eb Tanner was hostess to the 0. D. 0. club and guests at her home in Reed Saturday afternoon. The afternoon af-ternoon was spent in sewing and a delicious lunch was served to the club and the following guests: Mrs. Hor-ton, Hor-ton, Mrs. Singleton, Mrs. Elmer and Miss Miary Richards. Chicken Gump The 0. D. 0. club and the primary of the L. D. S. church enjoyed ' a Chicken Gump Tuesday evening at the farm of P. B. Fisher in south Milford. : The evening was spent in games and a lovely chicken supper was served. . There were about 60 guests. : Michigan Party Miss Bessie Killam entertained Wednesday evening with a Michigan party. The first prize was won by Mrs. T. W. Campbell and the consolation consola-tion by Jen Price. A delicious luncheon was served to Betty Ellingsworth, ejn Price, Louise Campbell, Phyllis Levi, Dorthy Mur-dock, Mur-dock, Ethel Stanley, Ruth Reveal and Maxine Bardsley. Mrs. Layton Honored Mrs. Douglals Ryan entertained at a beautifully appointed dinner in the dining room of the U. P. depot in honor hon-or of her sister, . Mrs. Jane Layton, who is visiting her. The guests were Mirs. C. R. Parrish, Mrs. Jos. R. Mur-dock, Mur-dock, Mrs. M.- P. Lewis, Mrs. George Fernley, Mrs. Erma Gillies, and Mrs. J. M Kinney. Auxiliary at Weber's The members of the American Legion Le-gion Auxiliary motored out to the home of Mrs Walter Weber in south Milford Tuesday evening. . Bridge was played and a delicious chicken supper was served to Mrs. Leonard Bowen, Mrs. Chas. Thomas, Mrs. Chas. Miller, Mrs. C. R. Parrish, Mrs. Tom Johansen, Mrs. J. M. Hughes, Hugh-es, Mrs. Myron Lewis, and Mrs. Weber. Mrs. Evans Hostess at Bridge Mrs. P. J. Evans entertained the Saturday Bridge club at her home on the 4th. Prizes were won by Mrs. Murdock, for honors; Mrs. Williams, points; Mrs. Sloan consolation. Guest prize, Mrs. Weston. Lovely refreshments were served to Mesdames Jack Williams, Chas. Sloan, Jos. R. Murdock, Jack Thies- sen, Fred Levi, M. P. Lewis, Chas. Moore, and Jack Weston. Bundle Shower - Mrs. Chas. Miller and Mrs. Wm. Nichols entertained Friday 3rd, with a bundle shower m honor of Mrs. I Jack Weston. Bridge was played; 1 prize for points was won by Mrs. Weston, for honors by Mrs. J. R. j Murdock. Dainty favors were given each guest, Delicious refresments were served to Mesdames M. P, Lewis, Scott Tanner, Tan-ner, Harve Hedges, N. C. Schow, Frank Crookston, Fred Levi, T. W. Campbell, L. E. Chilton, Willis Rogers, Rog-ers, Em Campbell, Walter Weber, Mrs. Leonard Bowen, Clarence Lewis, and Mrs. Ross Smith. Party On Second Birthday Mrs. Kimmel Coon entertained Friday, Fri-day, 3rd, in honor of her small son, Daniel Blair's 2nd birthday. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served to Masters Ken neth Jensen, Jimmy Ashworth, Howard How-ard and Bill Thiessen, Raymond Fotheringham, Buddy Chilton and Shirley Young. Epworth League Outing The Epworth League of the Methodist Meth-odist church enjoyed a very pleasant outing Tuesday in Beaver Canyon. They were accompanied by Rev. H. E. Root and his mother. As a result of Mr. Roots' skill as an angler, in the evening the League gave a complimentary com-plimentary fish fry to their adult friends of the church. The day ended end-ed with the joyous splendor of a fine bonfire. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Wilcox, Miss Lena Wil-marth, Wil-marth, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Cochrane, Mr and Mrs. W. F. Cottrell, Mrs. Roy Coleman, Mrs. C. E. Moore, Mrs. Vena Wilson, Gladys, Eva and Beth Coleman, Luzene Jennings, Margaret Cochrane, Helen Carlson, Mrs. Ida Root, Rev. Homer E. Root, Wallace Moore and Allen Davis. The Ella Stancliffe Past Noble Grand club met with Mrs. Roy Cottrell Cot-trell Wednesday evening. Mrs. Sadie Litchfield, Selma Carlson, Ida Crawford, Craw-ford, Vena Wilson, Mrs. Henry Jennings, Jen-nings, Mabel Coleman, and Susan Glenn were present. The hostess served delightful refreshments re-freshments to her guests. Entertains At Supper George Jefferson entertained about ten guests at supper at the Milford Hotel cafe last Friday night The event was in the nature of a pre-convention pre-convention assemblage and prominent local Republicans were invited. |
