Show GUNNISON BOY CUT BY MOWER Newell Sorenson, the 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Sorenson, Soren-son, sustained serious injuries to his left foot and only for the precence of nind of his brother, Orris, the left foot would have been severed entirely. entire-ly. Newell, according to J. A. Hagan, who dressed the wound, received a two-inch gagged gash about one-half inch above the left ankle and one of the small bones was almost severed. The tendons were injured and the' large artery was only barely missed. J Newell was in the hay field and was driving the mower. While in the act of clearing the cycle of a clogged mass of hay and standing in front of the cycle, the horses started and before they could be checked, the sharp and ragged cycle cut into the boys' foot. Orris, the brother, seeing the impending danger, jumped to the head of the team and brought the horses to a standstill. Newell was! hurried to the office of Dr. Hagan where the wound was dressed.
