POOR CEMENT WORK For the sake of the appearance of our town, citizens should make overtures to some contractor who knows how to lay cement, and get him to come to Milford to make his permanent abode. It is true that some of our sidewalks are sinning- examples of how a sidewalk should not look. Whether these cracked and broken walks are caused by the use of native gravel of too coarse a nature, unwashed gravel, or too little an amount of cement, we do not know. We do not profess to be masons. -But we do know that our sidewalks are bum. Also, it is plainly evident that about two thousand dollars could be spent on our high school building right now, to put it in good repair. More crumbling cement is visible here. Cracked, and crumbling cement sidewalks, curbs and driveways look poor and lend a shabby appearance to the town, p-ivin.? it a 'black eye' which is hard to get rid of. |
