WORK FOR PARK IS HANGING FIRE v Milford Post Number 16, American Legion, met at the home of Leroy Luken about two miles south of town, Tuesday evening. The meeting consisted of balancing up outstanding accounts, finding out where the post stood financially, and discussing the Legion's proposed city park project. Several sites were suggested sug-gested by members as being good locations for a park, but no action will be taken by the Legion for some time. A dance was proposed and the suggestion approved. It was also decided de-cided to have a 'corn roast' at Hanging Hang-ing Rock Park late in August, to which all Legion men and their partners par-tners are invited and expected to attend. at-tend. Delegates were asked to volunteer to attend the statei convention of the Legion, to be held in Salt Lake City this week. Several members announced that they would try to make plans and attend the three-day session. The business meeting adjourned and a smoker was held. The biggest turnout turn-out was present that has been at any Legion meting or some time.
