Show FAMOUS CARTOON IS PUT IN FILMS Manager S. C. Ruschmeier of the Orpheum Theatre has a picture coming com-ing next Thursday and Friday which necessitated A. A. Hillary's securing special permission of the superintendent superin-tendent of the express company to! rush the picture here. The film is j "Harold Teen," based on Carl Ed's ; famous caricature of flaming youth j at its best. Carl Ed was one of the last reviewers re-viewers to see the picture. Catching the comedy at the Oriental, Orien-tal, Chicago, he promptly wired: "In two words, 'It's great' the real- j ism of the production, the truencss I j of characters, held me spellbound. I hate to admit it but the screen play is an improved Harold Teen and will leave a mark for me to shoot at. 1 1 give Leroy all credit for the wonder-' ful direction and depth of feeling.' I surely must have had Arthur Lake in mind when I created 'Harold' forj he is the kid himself in the flesh. , I can't tell you of the emotions I; went through. It was great and I j cannot say any more." |
