Show "News Biis About Yester-Yars" 5 YEARS AGO Byron Gilbert, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A.. Gilbert, returned , home Sunday from a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of LatteT Day Saints. He labored in the Northern California mission with headquarters in San Francisco.. The' Roosevelt Second ward M-Men M-Men team last night moved over to Vernal to play the Third ward and were successful in taking the first game of division' 194 playoff by the score of 43 - 35. Marcus Garrett, Roosevelt high school basketball coach, and Brent Nickell led the Second warders in their successful conquest of Vernal as each' scored 12 points. Evan Wright, RHS football' coach, was close behind Garrett and Nickell, with 9 points. D. Walker, with 15 points, led the Vernal team. Any adults interested in Adult Home Making classes will have an opportunity to participate in such a course this spring, it was announced announ-ced this week by Mrs. Gilbert McKenna, president of the Parent-Teachers Parent-Teachers Assn. According to L. F. He has been selected by state educators and Swift and Co,, to represent Utah on a nation-wide tour of state agriculture supervisors supervi-sors which is being announced by Swift and Company. C. A. Toyack chapter house is growing by leaps and bound's. This new two-story building is made of a local limestone rock of the finest building quality, and workers have found that this rock is easy to chip and shape for building construction. |
