Show Ktonctli Ethel Beebe Scouts Have Trip The Altonah ward Boy Scouts and leaders enjoyed a trip to Salt Lake City and a swim at the Wasatch Was-atch Springs, Saturday'. The boys going were: Dee Clark, Gene' Carroll, Car-roll, Dean Carroll, Dean Shiner, Miles Shiner, Ray Fisher, Allen Ames, Kent Maxfield, Ernie Riley, George Reay, Norman Maxfield, Michael Fisher, Brent Fisher, Mack Jacobson, Tommie LaRose', Dick Mil)er, Bob Dunsmore, with Geo. Fisher, Claud Murray and Gerald Jacobson as supervisors, Sheldon Fitzgerald of the local administrator of the FHA of Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, was in Altonah Thursday. CHURCH SPEAKERS Glen Mohlman and Floyd Case, high councimien from Mt. Emmons, Em-mons, were visitors at Sunday School and speakers in Sacrament meeting, Feb. 26. Bernard and Ruth Dastrup of Mt. Emmons, sang a duet, "It Is No Secret," with Carilyn Dastrup as accompanist. accom-panist. Mrs. Lawrence. Weeks and Mrs. Lester Maxfield went to Duchesne Wednesday of last week, where Mrs. Weeks received medical care. Mrs. Minnie Lue Stevensen and Gary Jessen, who are employed in Salt Lake, were home' over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Case and son, Russell, of Midvale and Cpl. Lowell Low-ell Case of the U. S. Army, were guests over the weekend of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden. Dr. Dan Dennis, veterinarian of Roosevelt, and his father were doctoring cattle for Leon Dump, Carnes LaRose, Clinton Bowden and Gilbert Beebe, Feb, 27th. Mrs. Anona Mile's, Moon Lake stake Relief Society president of Boneta, visited Relief Society in Alitonah Feb. 28th. FAREWELL PARTY Mrs. Clinton Bowden and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe gave' a party Saturday Satur-day night at the home . of Mrs. Bowden in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Burgess who have sold their home and are planning on moving to Orem. Bridge and watching television tel-evision and a delicious lunch formed the repast for the evening. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Dee Case and son, Russell of Mid-vale, Mid-vale, Cpl. Lavell' Case, Mr, and Mrs. Fenton Powell. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden and Norita Bow-den, Bow-den, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Burgess and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe. Mrs. Dallas Ames and Mrs. Lucille Lu-cille Whitehead of Bluebell spent from Feb. 29 to March 2 visiting in Salt Lake City. The MIA gave the young people' a Leap-Year dance and party after Mutual' Tuesday night and served ice cream floats. Glen Anderson, who has been employed at Sunnyside, came home Thursday to visit his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. William Anderson. Ander-son. - Austin Beebe of Saleni called at the home of his brother, Gilbert Beebe March 1st. ; Brent Fisher, Ernie Riley and Dick Miller accompanied Grant Peel? music teacher of Altamont high, and a few more students to Vernal Feb. 29th, to attend a musical concert at the Uintah High School. , Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Bowden, son, June, and Lionel Bowden of Myton were visiting at the home's of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Burgess, Feb. 28th. Mr, and Mrs. Ed Olsen took their baby to Vernal March 1 for a medical check-up. "500" CLUB MEETS Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dump entertained enter-tained the "500" Chib at their home Saturday night. Guests present pres-ent were: Mr. and Mrs. Harry FieJdsted of Boneta, Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Iorg, Mr. and' Mrs. Lynn Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Mitchell of Mt. Emmons, and Mr. and Mrs, Dewey Jessen. "500" was the entertainment of the evening, eve-ning, with Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Iorg winning high score and Mr. and Mrs. Ned Mitchell took the low score. Guests at the home of Ed and Lucille Olsen Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. George Eastman and family of Artesia, Colo, and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Foote' of Mt. Emmons, Em-mons, Mr. and' Mrs. Floyd Lyons took their baby to Vernal' for a medical check-up March 1st. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Burgess left March 3rd for their new home in Orem. |
