Show Presents Program The Relief Society presented the conjoint program Sunday night. Talks were given by Lula Mullins, Edith Goodrich, Elizabeth Morrill, Mignon Harvey, Helen Simmons, and Esther Merkley. Mrs. Clarence Palmer also gave a short talk representing rep-resenting the stake board from Vernal. Visiting in Tridell over the weekend at the' J. R, McKee home were Mr. and Mrs. Kent Jensen and Lloyd Morrill from Provo. Polly McConkie has gone to Provo, Pro-vo, where she will attend the all-church all-church basketball tournament and visit with Miss Nancy Rockwood for two weeks. Visiting at the Laren Ross home last week were Mr. and Mrs. Garth Ross and sons, of Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Johnson were visitors in Orem last week, Ve'lma Moosman, who is now living in Salt Lake, visited at the home of her parents, the James Harveys, over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. DeVon McKee' and children and Jack Goodrich were visitors in Salt Lake Thursday and Friday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Goodrich attended a Cub Scout meeting in Vernal Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Olsen, Jr. and daughters from Orem were visitors at the J, G. Warren home and Don Harvey home last week. Mr. and Mrs. Reed McKee were weekend visitors in Salt Lake City, Lehi and American Fork over the weekend. HOME FROM FRANCE Visiting at the Rae Goodrich home from Tuesday until Sunday was MSgt. and Mrs. Rex King and children. The Kings have recently re-cently returned from ' France, where they have been for the last three years. After a 30-day furlough, fur-lough, Mr. King will then leave for Louisiana, where he will be stationed. Mrs, King will live in Salt Lake until school is out and then she and her family will join her husband in Louisiana. The Cub Scouts held a meeting at the home of their den mother, Virginia Goodrich, Monday afte-noon. afte-noon. Den Merkley, Callis Morrill and Ray Moosman will compete in the finals of the Seminary Declamation contest to be held in Roosevelt, Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Rae Goodrich took their baby to Roosevelt Monday Mon-day for medical, care. Max Warren, who has been home on a furlough, left Saturday to report back to Camp Fort Carson, Car-son, Colo. A group of Primary officers and teachers attended leadership meeting meet-ing in Vernal Thursday night. The Tridell MIA presented their Speech - Music Festival Tuesday night. They will participate in the stake festival next Sunday night in Vernal. Due' to the Speech-Music Festival Festi-val in Vernal,. Sunday night, and the Declamation contest to be held in Roosevelt, our chapel will not be dedicated on March 4th as was planned. The Clarence Bowdens from Salt Lake were weekend guests at the Rae Goodrich home. |
