Show Tleola Lecta Horrocks Basketball Boys Play Benefit A basketball game between the Jr. M Men and members of the Union High faculty was held Wednesday Wed-nesday evening in the, Neola gym. The score was 36-31 favoring Union, Un-ion, but the local boys were consoled con-soled with the fact that approximately approxi-mately $40.00 was added to the fund which will help defray their expenses to the tournament in Logan next week. An additional' amount was given to them by the sale of box lunches at the MIA last Tuesday evening, at the close of the Speech and Music Festival. Mr. and Mrs, Joe' Malnar were Salt Lake City visitors last week. Spending the weekend at the Theron Horrocks home' were Mr. and Mrs. Jay Horrocks and family of Salt Lake City. BISHOP RICHARD OLSEN UNDERGOES OPERATION Bishop Richard Olsen underwent an operation in a Salt Lake City hospital last week, Mrs. Olsen, who returned a few days after his operation, reports that he is recovering re-covering as rapidly as possible. Warden Olsen, who has been employed in Salt Lake City for some time, spent the weekend here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Olsen. Warden was recently transferred to Boise, Ida., where his employer is opening a new' business. Mrs. Richard Larsen and daughter, daugh-ter, Nancy, of Salt Lake City, spent the past week visiting relatives rela-tives here. |
