Show Cubbing Program Extended In Roosevelt Area Announcement has been released this week of the expansion of th Cub Scout program of the Roose" velt stake Primary Association from two to six packs, according to Mrs. Lecta Horrocks, Primary president, y Parents' night for Cub Scouting will be held beginning this Saturday, Satur-day, March 10, at 7:30 p.m. in" the Roosevelt stake house. The second and third meetings will be held on the following Saturdays March 17 and 24. y ' Parents of boys 8, 9 and lo years of age who do not now have their sons in Cub Scouting are reminded that their attendance at two of the three meetings is necessary for their son to be a Cub, continued Mrs. Horrocks. When the expansion is completed complet-ed March 24, the Ballard, Myton Roosevelt, Roosevelt 2nd, Roosevelt Roose-velt 3rd and Roosevelt 4th wards are expected to have a Cub pack of two dens or more within the ward boundary' itself. Each ward under the new arrangement ar-rangement would be' responsible for not only den mothers and assistant as-sistant den mothers, but also pack committeemen and the Cubmaster with his assistant. Pack meetings would then be held in the respective re-spective wards. Parents of boys Cub age in LDS wards of the Roosevelt stake other oth-er than the four Roosevelt wards Ballard and Myton, who want their boys in the Cub Scout program, pro-gram, should contact the ward Primary president. The three parents' meetings are designed to familiarize the parents as to their responsibility in Cub Scouting which is a family program, pro-gram, not just a boy's program, concluded Mrs. Horrocks. |
