Show Junior Gleaners From Second Ward Hold Silver Comradery The Silver Gleaner Comradery held by the Junior Gleaner class of the Second ward Monday, Feb. 27, was highly successful, with the girls' mothers attending as special guests. Ar'.ene Lawson, president, took charge of the program and Mrs. Merle Ross, class leader, welcomed the mothers and other guests. Two vocal' selections were sung by the class, followed by a talk, "Why I Want to Become a Silver Gleaner," Glean-er," by Judy Hatch. Mrs. Clarence Rowley then spoke on, "Why I Want My Daughter to Become a Silver Gleaner." Neala Schaefer-meyer Schaefer-meyer then gave a talk, entitled, "How Living Up To Silve Gleaner Standards Will Help Me In Future Life." A musical reading, "King of Glory," was presented by Mary Rudy and Phyllis Rowley,- accompanied accom-panied by Barcy Nickell. A vocal trio, composed of Neala Schaefermeyer, Barcy Nickell and Arlene' Lawson, sang a number, with the program conceded by a retold story by Helen Hyden. In keeping with the program were the silver floral corsages presented pre-sented to each girl and her mother. Decorated cakes, punch and ice cream were served by the girls. Participating with the group were Bonnie and Rose Mary Daniels Dan-iels from the' Junior Gleaner class of the Moffatt ward. Mrs. Daniels was also present. |
