Show Junior Gleaners Hold Comradery The Jr. Gleaner Comradery was held at the home of Mrs. Ona Rust, in a setting of silver and white. Silver tapers and white popcorn pop-corn balls with silver-shot, on a crystal plate made an attractive centerpiece. Each guest received a favor of a sheaf of silvered wheat with "Welcome" written on it. Carma Hansen received the guests at the door. The mother of every Jr. Gleaner was present for an enjoyable evening. eve-ning. Bonnie' Perkins welcomed the girls and their mothers, and the meeting was opened with prayer by Mary Reay. Mrs. Ona Rust ex plained the Silver Gleaner program pro-gram to the group, followed by a talk by Ann Boswell on "Why the MIA Theme Assists Me in Living Liv-ing the Gleaner Sheaf." Edith Case was chosen as a special speaker. She is the mother of two Golden Gleaners and one Sifrver Gleaner. Her topic was, "What It Means To Be the Mother of Silver and' Golden Gleaners." The story of "Ruth, the Gleaner," was next given by Carolyn Dastrup, Das-trup, and the Jr. Gleaner class sang "My Testimony." The closing clos-ing prayer was offered by Gwen Chapman. Punch and popcorn balls were served at the close of the Comradery. Mrs., Florence Mohlman will be leaving at the end of this week with her mother, Mrs. Florence Carter for Southern California. They will attend the Los Angeles Temple' dedication and go on the tour arranged by Vida Fox Claw-son, Claw-son, We are happy to learn that Mrs. Dicy Lister is improving in health She is receiving care at the Duchesne Medical Center. Mr. and Mrs. Melwood Wall and family from Salt Lake spent Sun day with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Ames in celebrations of Mrs. Ames' birthday. Friends of Mr. and Mrs. David Gailey, formerly of Altamont, were happy to hear of the new arrival at the Gailey home. Little Lisa was born Feb. 17. The Gaileys live in Sunset, Utah, j Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Rust and Mrs. Zella Bennion left for Manti Sunday to attend the funeral services ser-vices of Mrs. George' Rust. The late George Rust was a brother of LeRoy Rust. On the way to the funeral, they stopped in Provo for their daughter, Mrs. Mabel Jones. Coach Bearden announces that 4 Explorer volley ball teams are being planned, and one M Men volley ball team to play Mondays and Thursday at the high school gym. LaVer Bentley and Dwane Evans were' guest speakers at a Fireside Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Dar Brotherson of Boneta. The topic of discussion was the administration's proposed farm program. Mrs. Marion Seeley, stake Re lief Society work director, will be at Mt. Emmons ward work meeting meet-ing March 13 to demonstrate the making of corsages from rayon floss. The morning will be taken up in quilting and a pot-luck lunch will' be served. |
