Show Trail Riders Of Wilderness Visit High Uintas Twenty-one Trail Riders of the Wilderness returned a week ago to the U-Bar Ranch in Uinta Canyon after a. week's ride through the primitive and beautiful beau-tiful high Uintas. It was the second trip made by the "Trail Riders" into the High Uintas. Eighteen riders made the first trip last year. Traveling by horseback under the guidance of Bob Davis, football foot-ball coach at Colorado A. and M. and owner of the U-Bar Ranch, the party traveled about 100 miles through the 115,000 acre territory located in the southwest corner of Ashley National Na-tional Forest. The group made stops at Chain Lakes, Lake Atwood, Dollar Dol-lar Lake, Red Castle, Yellowstone Yellow-stone Basin, Kidney Lake, Fox Lake, and Box Canyon. They came from all over the United States housewives, doctors, scientists, teachers, and from many other phases of business and profession to view the wilderness areas that are un-marred un-marred by roads, and traces of civilization. The Trail Riders of the Wilderness, Wild-erness, a branch of the American Ameri-can Forestry Association, will make 17 Wilderness trips this summer in different parts of the United States. |
