Show altatd Mrs. Ellen Bracken Hosts To Sunday School Meeting Sunday School Faculty meeting meet-ing was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Johnson, Monday evening, Aug. 3. There were twelve officers and teachers teach-ers present. Mrs Virgie Page presented the lesson and various discussions were given, after which Mrs. Johnson served watermelons. Howard Todd, who spent six weeks in training in connection with the R.O.T.C., arrived home July 31, from Virginia. Mr. and Mrs. Lorell E. Roberts Rob-erts and family, of Milwaukee, Wisconson, were callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russel Todd one day last week. Mrs. Ella Roberts visited there also'. Mrs. Evan Olsen, who is living liv-ing in Neola, drove down to attend Relief Society on Tuesday. Tues-day. Before the Olsens moved from the ward, Mrs. Olsen was secretary of the Relief Society. Mr. and Mrs. Garn Bodily, of Salt Lake City, who were driving a new car home from Detroit, stopped at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Jenkins to get their small daughter, who had been staying there. Miss Shanna Bellon, who has been employed in Salt Lake City for some time, is home now at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Xavier Bellon. Mrs. Golden Collins, who has been to Salt Lake City receiving receiv-ing medical care and has been confined to her bed since coming com-ing home, is able to be out and around again. Mrs. Herman Baumgaertel went to Salt Lake City to meet her husband last week and enjoyed en-joyed a short vacation. Her mother, Mrs. Jesse Butcher, cared car-ed for her children at her home. FAMILY DINNER Mr. and Mrs. John H. Cook entertained the following group at a family dinner Sunday, Aug. 2: Mr. and Mrs. John Lubnies-wiska Lubnies-wiska and family, of Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Westwood and sons, of Rangely; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Williams, of Mae-ser; Mae-ser; Cr. and Mrs. Jack Cook and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cook and family and Or-lan Or-lan and Wayne Cook. Keith, Max and Howard Todd and Lynn Bracken participated in the ball game played between Bennett and Ft. Duchesne teams the first day of the U.B.I.C. Their team was victorious. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Squire made a trip to Salt Lake City to' get their daughter, Beverly, who had been visiting out there. Miss Peggy Wiscombe. daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Wiscombe, Wis-combe, of Bountiful, was a guest of Karen Gines at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ned Gines during the U.B.I.C. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Stanley and family enjoyed a fishing trip to Tabiona on Sunday, Aug. 2nd. Mr. and Mrs. Zane Asay and family and Mr. and Mrs. Seth Asay and family enjoyed a family fam-ily reunion at Cannonville, near i Bryce Canyon last week. Howard Todd, accompanied by Miss Maxine Winkler, motored motor-ed to' Logan over the weekend. Howard will again enter the U.S.A.C. and "was hunting an apartment to live in. |
