Show MQflTlVELL By Bettie Mower ATTEND REUNION Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thompson Thomp-son and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Brown went to Provo to the James Chaney Snow reunion, which was held in Timpanogas Park. Sunday they attended a Neilson r eunion at Saratoga Resort. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Roberts and family visited in Pleasant Grove, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Adams were visiting here Thursday and Friday. They are from Pleasant Grove, Utah. James B. Hamblin, Randy Nelson and A. D. Shaw made a trip to Salt Lake City. Thursday. Thurs-day. Irene, Betty Rae and Joel Kay Parry are staying with the Art Brown family, while their parents par-ents are visiting in California. Arvil Parry is staying with the Melvin Parry family and Earl Parry is staying with the Harvey Adams family. They are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Parry, of Orem, Utah. Mrs. Hanna Parry accompanied accompan-ied her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joel Parry, of Orem, to California, where they will visit her sons and relatives and tour California. Carol Brown and Errol Nel son were confirmed in Fast Meeting on August 2nd. Woodrow Smith, of American Fork, has been visiting the past week with Connell Parry. RECEIVE CERTIFICATES FOR PRIMARY WORK Minnie Crapo, Hazel Brown, Reta Hamblin, Ha Larsen, May Mower, Annie Alexander, Eva Johnson received a 5-year certificate certi-ficate for Primary work in the church, and Golda Adams received re-ceived a 10-year certificate. Ver-da Ver-da Blanchard did not get her certificate, but is entitled to one and will receive it when it arrives. ar-rives. Speakers at Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday evening, August 9 were: Ralph Shields, high councilman; coun-cilman; Walter Lichfield, the new Seminary teacher; Arvin Hullinger and Delmar Hamblin. LaRene Adams spent a few days at home this week and then she returned to Pleasant Grove to continue work there. Loene Powell was released as Sunday School secretary of the Montwel ward and Bettie Mow- I er was sustained in her place. Tuesday night the Mutual had a weiner roast at the park in Roosevelt. Miss Dawn Pace returned home Wednesday after spending spend-ing a week in Midvale, where she has been visiting relatives. Her cousin, Arlee Labrum, of Midvale, returned home with her to spend a few days here. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Brown, of Neola, visited Mr. and Mrs. Vic Brown and family, Sunday. Bishop James E. Hamblin was the lucky winner of the Saucy-Walker Saucy-Walker doll given away Friday night at the UBIC dance. Janet Murillo celebrated her 10th birthday anniversary Saturday Sat-urday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Newt Miller, with a group of friends enjoying the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Johnson are the proud parents of a 6 lb., 13 oz. baby girl, born Saturday, Satur-day, Aug. 1st at the Roosevelt Hospital. Grandparents are, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Johnson, of Montwel, Mont-wel, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Summers, Sum-mers, of Anaconda, Montana. This is their third child, all girls. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Summers, of Anaconda, Montana, came down on the 23rd of July to stay with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Johnson. Mr. Summers has returned re-turned home, but Mrs. Summers Sum-mers is still visiting here. |
