Show 4-H Club The Busy Stitchers 4-H Club met Monday at the home of Janet Brough. Light refreshments refresh-ments were served by the hostess. hos-tess. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Burton, of Salt Lake City, spent the week visiting Mrs. Burton's parents, Mr and Mrs. Fahy Durfee. The Durfees took them home Friday. Fri-day. A stork shower was given Thursday afternoon in honor of Mrs. Gayellen Barlow at the home of Mrs. Ethel Durfee. Clever games were played and delicious refreshments served to those present. A farewell dance was given Tuesday evening in honor of Vern McMullin. Dancing was enjoyed and refreshments served. ser-ved. Vern enlisted in the army. Friends attending the funeral of Howard Stevens in the Davis ward chapel Friday were, Bishop Bish-op Franklin L. Jarman, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence C. Wall, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence C. Wall, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Frank McMullin, Chester McMullin, Lorin J. Harris, Har-ris, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Harris, Mr. and Mrs. William Chandler, and Mr. and Mrs. Jess Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Chandler Chand-ler and family, of Price, spent the weekend visiting friends and relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Oaks and family, of Vernal, and Mrs. Maud Heal, of Provo, visited Sunday at the home of J. E. Jensen. Mr. a"nd Mrs. Valle Lewis and daughter, Jackie, of Gusher, spent the weekend visiting at the home of Sheldon Lewis. J. P. Stevens, of Salt Lake, spent the weekend visiting at the home of J. E. Jensen. Mrs. Erma Harris, of Myton; Mrs. Ivy Harris, of Roosevelt, and Mrs. Lila Bingham, of Al-terra, Al-terra, visited one day last week at the home of Etla McMullin. |
