Show Rulon Smithson Welcomed Home From LDS Emission NEOLA (Special) Being welcomed home by old friends is Rulo Smithson, who has spent the past few years in Europe. After being released from the French mission, where he spent two and one-half years as an LDS missionary, the young man attended the University of Heid-elburg, Heid-elburg, in Germany. Later he returned to Paris, France to continue his studies. On his way home, he stopped in England to collect genealogy, a phase of church work which claims much of his interest. Rulon plans to enter the Brigham Young University, this fall, to continue his studies in Foreign Languages, in which he is majoring. Prior to entering the mission field, he was employed by the State Department in Washington, Washing-ton, D. C. He also served nearly two years in Hawaii in the U. S armed service during World War U. Rulon is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Smithson, Neola. |
